CCFS's Rates

Fees for Current Administration

There are three ways that CCFS typically charges for its services: 1) a percentage fee based on the value of the estate; 2) hourly; or 3) a combination of both.  Out-of-pocket costs will be charged separately.  Going into each new case, CCFS and the client will reach an agreement about how CCFS will charge for that particular case prior to the commencement of CCFS's services.  The fee agreement will be based on our standard rate sheet and may be customized according to the particulars of the administration, for example, whether the administration is litigated or uncontested, the type and complexity of the assets, and the anticipated length of the administration.  Modifications to the fee agreement, such as an increase in CCFS's hourly rate, will be done in writing with advance notice to the client.  Should unforeseen litigation arise, fee agreements will likely need to be modified.  Fees and costs are generally paid out of the trust, probate, or conservatorship estate.

Fees for Future Administration

If you name CCFS in your estate planning documents as the fiduciary for a future administration (e.g.,  trustee or personal representative after your death), CCFS charges a flat fee of $500 for onboarding your future administration matter.  The onboarding of your future administration includes reviewing the estate planning documents in which CCFS is named and collecting initial information for the administration, for example, names and contact information of your relatives, beneficiaries, and professional advisors; the location of your original estate planning documents; a list of assets and their locations; and information about how to access assets and accounts when the time comes.  Reviewing your estate planning documents and collecting some initial information in advance helps ensure a smooth transition when CCFS begins serving as fiduciary.
